Employers seminar on the role of seniority in wage formation and collective bargaining

“how to better reflect in pay systems over long careers employees’ skills, productivity, motivation, performance and experience”

This seminar is organised by BusinessEurope in cooperation with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises – SEV.

BusinessEurope wishes to invite EU and social affairs departments of its member federations in a select number of countries where there is a mix of sectoral and company collective bargaining. CEEP and SMEunited secretariats and their Greek members are also invited to participate.

Our main objectives are:

  • To analyse the design of pay schemes in the different Member States, in particular regarding the role of seniority in wage formation, and how it impacts collective bargaining systems.
  • To exchange best practices on how wage formation can be reformed through interesting case-studies.
  • To look into the content of collective agreements in a diversity of Member States.
The seminar will start on July 11th and end on July 12th with a closing buffet lunch.
