Preparatory meeting ahead of the dedicated social partners hearing with the Commission on the social dialogue communication

Background

As part of its social dialogue initiative, the Commission will organise on 28 April a dedicated social partners hearing on the planned social dialogue communication. This communication will aim to strengthen social dialogue at EU and national level to support the key role of social partners in fostering a fair economic, social and cohesive recovery and the green, digital and labour market transitions.

The hearing with the Commission allows for 40 representatives on each side, including 10-15 sectoral participants. The aim of this meeting is to discuss and prepare our joint contribution to the dedicated hearing. The preparatory meeting will follow the same approach, while allowing some flexibility for additional members to attend if interest is particularly high.
