The European cross-industry social partners ETUC, BusinessEurope, SGI Europe and SMEunited have completed a joint project aimed at addressing labour and skills shortages across the EU. The project focused on exploring the causes and impacts of skills mismatches and the role of social partners in addressing these challenges.
On this page, you can access two key outputs from the project:
- Improving skills matching in Europe – final report – A detailed research paper examining skills shortages, skills matching, sectoral and regional examples, and social partner involvement in addressing these challenges.
- European social partners’ recommendations – A set of guidance and proposals developed by European social partners, based on the research findings, highlighting how to strengthen skills policies and social dialogue at national and EU level.
