CIDA - Manager e Alte Professionalità per l'Italia is a trade union organisation which represents executives and high-level professionals in all socio-productive sectors, public and private, on the professional, economic and social level.
CIDA and Manageritalia (the Italian Federation of managers working in the tertiary sector) promoted the adoption of the project “Produttività e Benessere” (Productivity and Welfare), introducing company welfare practices to ensure a high level of physical, psychological and social wellbeing. Company welfare also includes improving the conciliation between private and professional life. Concrete results of the project include a reduction of absenteeism and a strong improvement of the company’s internal spirit.
CIDA is also partner in other projects.
“Donne@work” (Women@work), in partnership with the City of Milan, Assintel and Primadonna, aims at helping supply and demand by both large companies and SMEs of female experts and managers in the ICT sector meet.
The project “Un Fiocco in Azienda” (A newborn ribbon in the company) targets the still common idea of women becoming a “burden” for companies when they go on maternity leave. Companies participating to this project commit to respecting five principles in their behaviour towards a female workers announcing their maternity, and can enjoy a series of services to the concerned worker that are offered mainly for free. These services range from psychological support services to prepare the woman to maternity to a mechanism of nutritional training for both the mother and the newborn.
Another member of CIDA, Federmanager (the Italian Federation of managers working in the industry sector), promotes the working experience of its female managers through the Women’s Leadership project. This project aims at offering women managers a system to evaluate their skills and competences, with the aim of helping them prepare their future career moves and support them in applying for high-level managing positions in their own companies in accordance with the provisions of the national collective agreements for industrial managers.
